Doors open at 11am, first PBR cracks open at noon in the Music Joint, Rooftop + second floor at Reggies!
What's this all about?
“The premise? It’s pretty simple: gather as many people as possible in one place to drink 2,000 PBRs, all while having a great time, hearing live music from some great bands, and banking money for a good cause - the Ray Graham Training Center High School in Chicago!
Yeah, that’s right. Each and every one of those 2,000 beers is a beer for charity. And to think, some people try to tell you that nothing good comes from a night on the town.”
What's in it for you?
Attendees receive complementary PBRs, Smoked meats with all the fixin’s, cool PBR raffle items, live art and much more! Most importantly, you spend the day drinking for a good cause! Wear your coolest PBR garb to win prizes!

ACTIVATE is a popular annual series of pop-up arts programs launched in 2014 that transform alleys and other unexpected places into creative exhibition spaces. ACTIVATE brings people together for an evening of exploration, interaction and celebration in the public realm, inspiring guests to see the Loop anew.
This is the fifth annual ACTIVATE season, and the first time CLA has partnered with the same curatorial group for all four events. Canvas Chicago, the collective behind Voyager NYE and Sub Chroma, joined CLA in developing the season theme, “(EVO)lution.”
“(EVO)lution” refers to EVO, a fictional muse representing all of the artistic intentions in Chicago that lead to the continuous evolution of the city’s modern-day arts and culture. EVO is able to open portals to parallel universes, so each ACTIVATE event will see a location in the Loop transformed, with attendees transported to an alternate version of the same space.
Emily Dahlquist, associate director of Canvas Chicago, said Canvas makes for a great partner with CLA and the ACTIVATE series.
“We are skilled at transforming space and bringing people into a different environment that later leaves them inspired,” Dahlquist said. “With CLA’s dedication to placemaking and activating public space, we’re excited to inspire people in the Loop who live there, work there or use it as an axis point.”

I'll be creating a 87 foot wide mural for my hometown Creston, Iowa as a collaboration with the senior high school students.

MOCA Group art mural project

20+ Artists creating a mural for MOCA. The area each artist will have will be about 3' wide x about 9' high. You don't have to go all the way up to 9'. Also, the idea is not to have a full background painted but to have a cannabis plant on the white background. I think that will work better with the different artists.
