A commission painting for my high school friend Chris who married his now lovely wife Miranda.
I wanted to turn a simple wedding concept into a trippy, unique piece for them to have hang in their home.
I went with the classic man and woman kissing look, and added layers and layers and layerssss of color onto it. The trippy concept for this piece is appropriated by conveying a feeling you get when you kiss the person that you love.
I framed this piece which is new for me in 2017. I started with a reclaimed antique frame then slashed some color onto it to match the image I planned to create on the canvas.
I shipped the piece to them in Iowa on the same weekend of their marriage. A memoriable weekend for both of them.
